Baby turtles follow the glow of the sea to find their way. Some things make light on their own, like the sun and a flashlight. Others don't shine at all!
The turtle's shell is made of little pieces with six sides, called hexagons. Every shape has a number of sides: count the straight lines!
One little word changes the size! A tiny fish is really small and a huge fish is really big. Listen and find the right words.
One turtle, two turtles! When there is more than one, the word changes at the end and gets an S. Look how many animals there are and read carefully.
The turtle's shell has a pattern that repeats, row by row. Figure out the pattern's rule and find the missing piece.
The wave comes in softly and gets louder. Then it goes away and the sound fades little by little. Listen: does the sound get louder, softer or stay the same?
The turtle does everything slowly and still gets there! Everyone has their own way and their own pace. Respecting other people's pace is being a good friend.
Bigger challenges and the party that reviews everything the child learned.
When things are lined up in rows, counting gets easy: count one row and then the others, which have the same amount.
The turtle cut the seaweed cake into equal parts. Whole is all of it, half is one of two parts and a quarter is one of four parts.
On the island, the turtles play with dice. Look at the dots on each die, put them all together and find out how many spaces to move.
